Love Fosters Hope

Love Fosters Hope is a local faith-based non-profit organization with many facets, but one purpose:   to provide hope and healing to foster children and youth.  These kids long to experience the acceptance and provisions others often take for granted.

Did you know?

  • Every 4 minutes a child is abused in the United States.
  • 3 in 10 homeless people were former foster children.
  • Less that 2% of former foster children earn a college degree.
  • On average, a foster child is moved 7 times while in care.

Each summer, through Love Fosters Hope, residential camps are provided for foster children and youth ages 7-19.  A child coming to camp for those 12 years is encouraged to help provide stability for them.  Beginning at age 12, mentors are provided for any camper who would like one, allowing for year-round investment in that child.

After campers age out of the system, financial help is provided as needed, guidance for getting into school, and housing for those who are homeless through Love Fosters Hope Rescue home.  To learn more about Love fosters Hope, click here

WCPC supports Love Fosters Hope through the Benevolence budget and by providing handmade blankets for a number of the camps.  Watch future WCPC publications and the MOT Bulletin Board for volunteer opportunities.
