Adult Sunday School Education Classes

WCPC tries to offer a variety of classes for adults:
on-going classes, year-long studies, stand alone and short-term offerings.
Check back often for updates!
Welcome! Class
Are you interested in exploring membership at WCPC?  Would you like to meet the pastors, the staff, and others involved in the life and ministries of this congregation?  This might be your next step in growing your faith within the WCPC church family.
The Welcome! class is offered each quarter for those interested in membership here at WCPC.  The class four-week class meeting during Sunday school provides some background on the Presbyterian Church (USA), the ongoing ministry and mission of WCPC, a tour of the church campus, and an opportunity for you to ask questions.
NEXT WELCOME! CLASS:  October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 during the Sunday school hour, 9:45-10:45 am, in the Hendricks Building, #302.  For more information, please speak with any of our pastors or contact the church office at or 281-363-2040.

Each week we will explore and discuss what our faith has to say to what is happening in the world, holding scripture and news items in conversation with one another.

First Place 4 Health is a Christ-centered weight-loss and healthy living program that will build the whole person and create balance in your life.  First Place 4 Health is based on three core principles:

  • Christ-centered priorities—Bible study, prayer and scripture memory
  • Choices for total health-addressing the whole
person: body, mind, emotions and spirit
  • Community- support and accountability through small groups.

Lectionary Class

led by Bob Campbell

Room 303, Charles E. Hendricks Building (CHEB)
Our pastors use the Revised Common Lectionary to select scripture passages for use in preaching and liturgy each Sunday.
In this class, we dig more deeply into the day’s readings so that we can increase our understanding, enhance our worship experience and equip ourselves and each other to apply these biblical lessons in our daily lives.
