International Seafarers Ministry

The Houston International Seafarers’ Centers are a “home away from home” for seafarers visiting the Port of Houston.  The two Centers have served over a million visiting seafarers and provide a safe and welcoming recreational and spiritual environment on land for those who have chosen the sea as their livelihood.  Seafarers have access to counseling, telephones, recreation, and worship services.   Presbytery of New Covenant supports Presbyterian chaplains who work in this ministry at the two centers.  For more information on the Houston International Seafarers Center, click here.

Christmas Boxes for Seafarer’s – Through a program sponsored by the Houston International Seafarers’ Center, we offer the opportunity to provide Christmas boxes to seamen who enter the Port of Houston during the holiday season.  In addition to packing Christmas boxes, we are always looking for individuals or groups to bring the boxes to the center.
