WCPC MISSION OUTREACH

Promote Social Justice

Loose the bonds of injustice...break every yoke.

—Isaiah 58:6

Social Justice Group

Charity is important, but we are also called to be advocates for social change. This group meets regularly to consider and act on our call to be carriers of social justice.

Alternative Market

Almost every fall we will hold an Alternative Market. That means you can purchase Christmas gifts that promote fair trade, support a variety of compassionate ministries and are environmentally friendly.

Montgomery County Women's Center

Virginia, Lucia and Adam take linens

to the Montgomery County Women's Center.

We like to support the good work of the Montgomery County Women’s Center with occasional projects, including the collection of used cell phones and bed linens.

  Bread for the World

Our association with Bread for the World helps us put our faith into action to end hunger, wherever it is found in the world. We sponsor an occasional Offering of Letters to advocate for hunger issues.

  Peace and Justice Network

At the Sunday evening Peace Vigil.

The Peace and Justice Network of Montgomery County was formed in 2006 to educate, advocate and cultivate a culture of peace, equality and compassion in our community, our country and in our world. One regular activity is a candlelight vigil at Lake Woodlands every Sunday evening.
