Christian Enrichment Ministries

The Christian Enrichment Committee is responsible for all areas of enrichment of our spirituality. To this end we are responsible for all children's and adult's Sunday School classes and weekly Bible studies. We also provide acolyte training, prepare for our annual Vacation Bible School, oversee the Boy Scout and Girl Scout affiliations that our church has, and provide Jesus Jam. In addition, we often make available worship classes for the children, present Bible stories through Godly Play sessions, and provide social activities periodically for the older elementary and middle school students.

This committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in Annex H-1.

Some of the many children we serve through Sunday School and Vacation Bible School each year.

All our younger children begin the Sunday School hour in "Jesus Jam," a time of celebration through music and games, that lasts for 15 minutes.

Children's Sunday School

The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church provides a rotation Sunday School curriculum for our children. This means that in each month a different topic is studied and on each different Sunday during that 4 weeks, the topic is studies through drama, cooking, arts and crafts, and science, for example.

We are always looking for parents to help organize, teach, shepherd the students from Jesus Jam to their Sunday School class.

Adult Sunday School

Believing the we are all meant to grow in discipleship, we offer several adult Sunday School class options every year.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer we present a Vacation Bible School for one week during the summer from 9:00am to 12:00noon. Each day starts with everyone together for the presentation of the day, and then the students go by age groups to science, recreation, snack, music, and arts and crafts. Vacation Bible School takes a lot of people to make it happen and we would even like to consider offering it twice since we always are sold out!
